Chris grew up fishing and guiding on the boulder streams of the Western Cape, South Africa.
 
In these early days it was all about hiking, camping and exploring streams in search of wild brown and rainbow trout sheltering in the shade of the ancient mountain “Kloofs”, once the inspiration for JRR Tolkien’s books.
 
These wild free stone streams require delicate, short and precise presentations. A few seconds of drag free drift seems like an age waiting for a quick subtle take.
 
The Sjam-Bok harks back to these care free days under the African Sun. In a 7’ #3, 4 piece format, it is a compact, light rod that can slip into a travel bag or back pack, ready for your next adventure.
